About Remedium

ABOUT

REMEDIUM originated as a thought and vision in 2006 when Amanda walked into UCI Medical Center to work in their Neuropsychiatric department. Here she developed and taught a treatment modality and perspective entitled “Transform Your Mind,” an eclectic treatment inclusive of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, and DBT. This modality not only helped to stabilize psychiatric symptoms, it also empowered people to wellness and wholeness allowing them to “live their best and most authentic life.” As Amanda saw lives transform she knew she was on to something and went on to pursue higher education at Columbia University. Here she studied psychopathology, development across the life span, psychopharmacology, and evidence based research and practice to further inform and define REMEDIUM. After graduating and working as a professor and then a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she knew it was time to launch REMEDIUM and bring to the masses.

MEET AMANDA

Amanda grew up as a South Bay local but used to dream of being in Manhattan Beach. Years later she still has overwhelming gratitude as she has been a resident for almost 10 years.
